Our Mission

At the Academic Resource Center, we are committed to your success. We provide a variety of resources to assist and guide you as you make progress in your academic program and make plans to enter the workforce.

Academic Support Units

Located on the ground floor of the Captain Charles H. Hurley Library, the Academic Resources Center operates three academic support units that provide tutoring and counseling at no cost to students throughout the academic year. Students are strongly encouraged to utilize the services and resources available. Links for each of the units, described below, appear in the text and in the navigation bar to the left of each page.

The Writing Resource Center (WRC) provides assistance and feedback for all types of written and oral communication you will encounter during your academic experience. Consult this page when you need a trained reader/observer to evaluate your work.

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) provides assistance with courses in science, engineering, technology, mathematics, business, and other areas. Consult this page when you need a trained tutor to help you learn or reinforce skills for success in a specific course.

The Academic Advising Center (AAC) provides guidance on your academic career, major, or coursework. Consult this page when you need advice in addition to that offered by your assigned academic advisor, including assistance with college survival skills.
